Tanicia Pratt
Tanicia Pratt is a Bahamian author, poet and performance artist. Raised between the cities of
Nassau and Freeport, her work reimagines the Anglo-Caribbean landscape through a feminist
lens of history, culture, language and memory.
In 2019, her debut artist book, I Dream Baby Not Fish…, was collected by The National Poetry
Library of England. Thus far, her poetry has graced the publications of Bad Form, Decorating
Dissidence, PREE, POUI, Rewrite London, amongst others. Notably, she has performed for
Write About Now, The Central Bank of The Bahamas Art Gallery, and The National Art Gallery
of The Bahamas.
Tanicia is a graduate of The University of The Bahamas with a Bachelor’s in Marketing. Her
studies continued at Royal Holloway, where she achieved an MA Creative Writing in Poetic
Practice.
