'Mykal Ziùn' - Jamaica

Michael or Zijn as he is popularly called transitioned from college to professional dance with the renowned National Dance Theater Company NDTC in 2014 where he represented for the island on multiple international stages. He danced with the company for over 8 years, earning his spot as one of their senior dancers and a highlight at all their presentations.
In 2020 Michael Small featured in the thought provoking Musical by Michael Holgate "Seville and di Bone Tribunal" and was twice invited to choreograph and perform for the Jamaica Dance Umbrella: the premier Dance festival in the entire Caribbean.
A philatropist as well, Michael has volunteered his services to the Digicel Christmas foundation for Children and is
an active member in the Portland Moore Town community, where he was shares cultural Dance to children between the ages of 6 - 16 for the Pikibo Prandes Summer Camp.
Between 2019 - 2021 he was featured in several local and international dance projects and has choreographed several timeless pieces, and at 24 years of age he will tell you "I'm just getting started."
Dance Film: BREATHE
The project serves as a gust of encouragement to the entirety of Jamaica as we all continue to pray for the passage of this pandemic. The film, set on the sands of the legendary Bob Marley Beach begins with the Manifested Spirit of Jamaica who beckons to the souls of her
despairing citizens being ravaged by the effects of the pandemic. "Breathe," Jamaica encourages us. "I feel and understand your pain, and we'll all get through this together."
