Jody-Marie Hussey

Jody-Marie Smith is a creative who is extremely passionate about changing lives through the arts.
She is the founder & CEO of First Dance Studios in Montego Bay that has been changing the face of the arts in Western Jamaica for the past nine years. The slogan “Don’t just dance…change the world” is the mantra she not only created for the business but lives by. She is a dance instructor, health & wellness coach, and an advocate for mental and physical health.
She has trained students who competed and won 15 medals for Jamaica at the World championship of Performing arts in Hollywood. She has been featured on a Canadian based travel vlog and also been awarded by The Gleaner for her outstanding contributions to the arts in Western Jamaica.
Jody-Marie has over twenty-five years’ experience in the performing arts as well as over fourteen years business experience in hospitality, marketing, finance and support business sectors from companies in Jamaica, USA & the U.K. She holds a master’s degree in Business & Marketing from the University of Wales & a Bachelor of science degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management from the University of West Indies.
