Jennifer Jhala St. Louis, a 27-year-old designer from the small community of Morne Du Don , in Castries St. Lucia, is a creative who loves making art and crafts, reading and writing poetry, and singing in the shower and sometimes in public a little too loudly.
An English major, St Louis marries a deep love for poetry and strong aesthetic values with a deep need for self-expression by producing wearable art that speaks to its wearer and anyone who sees it.
In operation since 2015, her Poetry Kisses is the home of lovingly handmade wearable art and uniquely designed accessories found only in St Lucia.
“I see my business thriving and growing on a global scale, way past being known regionally but internationally, gaining clients the world over as a representative of Saint Lucian art and craft,” says St Louis.
“Everything I create is completely wearable art. Each piece is uniquely and specifically designed by me, completely inspired and painfully and meticulously handcrafted by me. They are very affordable, durable, artistic pieces of handcrafted jewellery using Saint Lucia-sourced materials that can’t be found anywhere else.”
