"Sadaeya" - Trinidad & Tobago

Sade Cleste Edwards known as SADAEYA is an inspiring actress, singer, songwriter, poet and model who has been professionally involved with the University of Trinidad and Tobago, The Prime Ministers’ Best Village Trophy Competition, NGC San Fest, Brave New Voices and The House of Jacqui.

She captured the NGC Sanfest 2015 title with “School Bell Ting” and placed 2nd at the Envirofest Competition in Siparia. In 2018 she travelled to Texas with a contingent where they came 2nd in the Brave New Voices Spoken Word Competition. The Ministry of National Security, awarded her first prize for a spoken word piece which focused on self-esteem with a message to youths who face adversities to be positive regardless. In 2019 she copped the title of Miss. St. Patrick Emancipation Queen at Naparima Bowl.

On her final leg completing her BFA in Acting at the University of Trinidad and Tobago, sade presents her final piece in her ‘one man show’ entitled ‘the fallen apple which speaks of social woes that teenagers girls face when there is a disconnection and lack of parental communication with their mothers. A critical issue that is faced with young teenage adolescents in Trinidad and Tobago today. This piece acknowledges the folk song ‘ah go tell meh mama doh send meh down dey’ to encapsulates the message in her performance.
