My creative process involves thoughts about how influenced my mental schemes are by externally created standards. I open the dialog and start to question the narratives of my surroundings and relations, which brings me to the exercise of deprogram my mind and be more receptive to my initials and authentic perceiving and embracing mechanisms that leads me to unlearn to learn.
I use my own experiences as a person, translating them into visuals using my body and relative’s bodies as a form of expression, as a language, through my photographs, I then proceed to decompose to compose a new visual narrative.
Some of the mediums I usually use are different types of paper, personal writings, family pictures or personal photographs. Those are the registrations of the image I modify.
To me the body reflects the experience of life, the physical and vulnerable existence that is in constant exposure. Interacting with these themes makes me want to also explore other mediums as ceramics and to get more knowledge into the alchemy itself by turning these concepts and realities into utilitarian for practices or rituals of our everyday life.
